KIKO // One for the eyes

Since KIKO opened their store in MK shopping centre I haven't stopped splurging on their amazing products. *Sorry bank account* From many other posts you can tell I am a big KIKO fan and I have tried quite a few of their products. When I last visited they had a huge sale on eyeshadows and I have been wanting to try experimenting with using eyeshadow more so what a perfect opportunity! You can find the eyeshadows on their website here and here!

This beautiful pearly white is so good for using in the inner corner of the eyes to make your eye colour really pop. I also love using this for mixing with darker colours to stop my eyeshadow looked too dark. It has a shimmery finish which looks beautiful under the light.

The second colour I picked up is this khaki colour. In the photograph I does look more brown but when you apply it you can see the green tones more. I love this colour as I don't tend to go for greens but feel that the brown undertones make it a lot more wearable. The shade is very matte and blends beautifully.

Everyone needs a charcoal black eyeshadow. I use this across my lash line for when I do a smokey eye. It's very pigmented and the colour pay off lasts really well. I find this shade works so well if you don't want to use a liquid liner but want a more softer liner on the eye.

Next up I brought a silver/grey colour. I fell in love with this colour. I find silver works so well for me as I have blue eyes and feel it really brightens my eyes and brings the blue out. I tend to use this for a lighter smokey eye which is more wearable in the day time but you can also build the colour up for a night time look.

The last colour I picked up is this gorgeous champagne colour. I use this colour the most out of all of the eyeshadows as I feel it looks beautiful for an everyday eye look. I also used this as an eyebrow highlighter as it is so shimmery and picks up a beautiful highlight in the light. The colour isn't as pigmented as the others but is easily build-able. However, it blends beautiful and works with almost every colour!

Has anyone else tried any KIKO products? Comment below

I Have A Soap & Glory Crush

I'm a sucker for pretty packaging, may seem a bit shallow but the first glimpse at a super cute product is normally what draws me in. I've always wanted to try Soap & Glory skincare products ever since I smelt the Sugar Crush Body Lotion and with Boots recent 3 for 2 offer I could not resist!

I picked up two of the pump bottle moisturisers. They are both available in tubs but I find it a lot easier to use a pump. Let's talk about my absolute favourite first. The Sugar Crush 3 in 1 Body Lotion. I can't even begin to describe how amazing this smells. It's literally the best smelling product I have ever owned and this factor alone is enough to make me repurchase this for life! You apply this lotion to damp skin and it works a treat. Not only do you smell crazy good, you also feel silky soft and smooth.
The second moisturiser I brought is the Butter Yourself Ultra Nourishing Fruity Liquid Moisture Lotion (Wow what a mouthful!) So, after I got over the super long name for this product I again noticed how good it smelt. This one is a lot more subtle, so if you prefer a more toned down smell for your skin I would 100% recommend this one. This one is great to use on drier and tougher skin such as elbows and knees. I found this one makes my skin feel really hydrated. I tend to switch it up and use one on one day and the other the day after!

The last thing I picked up is the Flake Away Body Scrub. Unfortunately I have been blessed with dry skin which is sometimes super embarrassing due to flakey legs. *inserts sad face* This product has been a life saver. Yes, moisturisers temporarily fix the flakey problem but this scrub actual eliminates it! I sometimes find scrubs a bit too much for my skin but this one leaves it feeling beautiful! And this product smells of fig which is gorgeous.

Anyone recommend any other Soap & Glory products? I'm eager to try more!

Mini haul // Ikea trip!

One of the most exciting things about university for me is the fact I will be moving out into a room where I can decorate it how I please. As a student I won't be able to splash the cash out on my room but I do want to do everything I can to make my small space, my own. All warm and homely.

I've created a list (a huge, massive, long list) of everything I need to buy for university including my kitchen utensils, electronics and bedroom decor. This trip was purely meant to be a browse for me to get some ideas on what sort of things I wanted to get and also needed to get. Those are two completely different things. And well... me being me ended up buying things because I 'needed' them.

Yes, fake plants are totally cheating BUT, there is no way that I will be able to keep real plants alive so hey ho. I picked up three different styles and all of them were £3 each. Ikea have a huge range of fake plants and I will definitely be getting some more when I next visit. I love having some greenery in my room and I'm a massive fan of the leafy look.

I picked up two of these in different sizes. The larger one is very large and I will probably be using it to stick all of my stationary stuff into. As for the smaller one I will use this for my makeup brushes and when I next visit Ikea I will be picking up another one! These pots are super cute and will look nice on my shelves for a bit of decoration. White and black are going to be my key colours for my rooms decor as I love the simplistic style. The large pot was £2 and the smaller one was £1.50.

I picked up this square, white ceramic dish. I will be using this to place all of my most worn jewellery on. I think this will look great on my desk by all my make up and adds some simple decoration to my room without making it look cluttered. This was only £2.50.

4. The last thing I brought I didn't picture just because a) it's quite boring and b) it was too large! I just picked up a fold away white basket which I will probably use for either storage or for my laundry. As boring as it sounds it is very practical and it only cost me £2! Bargain.

This was one of many trips before I head of to university in September so keep your eyes peeled for more! Anyone else brought some home decor stuff recently?

Makeup Revolution // Golden Sugar Palette

The Golden Sugar Ultra Blush Palette was released at the beginning of this year and is one of three Makeup Revolution's Ultra Blush palettes. All of the palettes cost £6.00 each which is amazing considering they contain 8 different blush, bronze and highlight colours.

I am completely in love with the three bronze colours in this palette as I feel they really suit my skin tone. They are all completely different shades and finish. One has a shimmery glow to it as it contains some highlight which looks amazing on the tops of my cheek bones. I am a sucker when it comes to the matte shade as it reminds me of Benefits 'Hoola'.

The blushes are very light on the skin and aren't as pigmented as I normally go for. This means you have to build up the colour on your cheek by reapplying the shade. I love the dusty pink colour. I looks very natural on the skin unlike darker pinks which don't suit me as well.

The highlighters in this palette are gorgeous and really make a difference in my complexion. I feel the slightly bronzed highlighter works best as it doesn't leave the dreaded white line across my cheek! (Yes I have been a victim of this is many of my early nights out-.-)

Over all the palette is beautiful and I am definitely going back to Superdrug to pick up some more. The value for money you get with the Makeup Revolution items is astonishing. They are such good quality for such a little price! My fav.

Any Makeup Revolution beauty finds you've tried? Let me know in the comments!

Metallic lips // Review

Hello lovelies! This year I managed to get in early at the summer Topshop sale meaning there were still so many hidden gems!

Metallic lips have become a guilty pleasure of mine. It feels so 90's wearing such a shimmery finish on my lips but I absolutely love it. The other day whilst perusing in the Topshop sale I came across their own metallic lips range. I ended up picking up the shade called 'Armour'. At first I was um-ing and ah-ing at whether I would suit it but in the end I thought 'What the hell, it's only £4.00 right?', which is probably why I spend my life moaning about how poor I am. I love the Topshop makeup packaging. It's so appealing to the eye and feels so pretty to have in your makeup bag.

As you can tell from my swatch the colour is very unusual. I would best describe this as a deep nude colour... If that makes any sense. It isn't quite pink enough to be a nude lip as it does have some purple/brown undertones. It is super shimmery!!! Which in my opinion looks beautiful.

The wear isn't as long lasting as some other Topshop lips I have tried as it has such a creamy glide on the lips. But a few top ups throughout the day should keep your lips glimmering in all lights! I really recommend this unique finish and shade. Some may hate and some may love.

What are your thoughts on metallic lips making a come back?

Stripes and sun // OOTD

Hello lovelies! The weather in the UK is scorching hot at the moment which calls for some summer time outfits of the day! I'm so nosy and love seeing what other people are wearing, so if any of you guys are the same I hope you enjoy all of these posts.

Top: New Look
Bag: Primark
Sunglasses: Topshop
Trousers: Missguided
Sandals: Primark

If any of you guys are from the UK you will understand the pain of constant cold days! So when the sun came out I decided to make the most of things and wack out some real summer vibes.
Primark this year has not failed to wow me with it's super cheap yet super stylish summer clothing. The sandals I am wearing I got for a fiver!!! Yes, that's right only £5.00! I couldn't leave them really, it'd be rude. They don't rub and actually feel such strong, good quality.
I love the off the shoulder styled tops at the moment and this is actually one I brought in last years end of summer sale! I'm so glad they've made a come back this year. I can't wait to get my hands on some more. *Heart eye emoji*
I'm not typically a 'baggy trousers' type of girl but these cotton cuffed trousers I ordered from Missguided fit like a dream. They are so lightweight and comfortable!

Any summer styles I should be on the look out for?
